Mission Statement

A Soccer Revolution is occurring with the next generation of players in the United States. SRA aims to accelerate this revolution by meeting the following goals that are critical for improving player development in our great country:

  1. Instill a passion in players to simply enjoy the beautiful game by sharing our passion for the game as SRA professionals.

  2. Place emphasis on proper development through quality technical training before wins and losses at the youth level.

  3. Practice a coaching style that facilitates confidence and creativity on the ball through player-centered guided discovery and encourage the freedom to try new ideas without fear of mistakes.

  4. Incorporate and develop the best soccer techniques and tactics from the around the world by constantly seeking out contemporary coaching principles and integrating the best of the world’s game on the pitch.

  5. Establish more pride in U.S. Soccer’s identity by embracing our strength in diversity as a nation. We want our youth to dream of wearing the red, white and blue logo over their heart.

  6. Teach the beautiful game with an attacking-minded, possession-oriented style of play while maintaining a balance with disciplined defensive dominance.

  7. Minimize “pay to play” for those in need and provide more opportunities for every youth player to gain access to quality coaching. SRA takes pride in maximizing player development, not profit, by offering competitive coaching at a competitive price. 

  8. Build character through the game by teaching life skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, work ethic, full responsibility, and commitment.  SRA views soccer not only as a sport, but a way of life. These lessons go beyond the game and it is because of them, not in spite of them, that success can be experienced on the pitch.
